Homemade Cranberry Sauce with Star Anise

Here is a healthier version of Cranberry Sauce.  No more canned stuff for this family!

This recipe is bursting with flavor.

Whip some up, store in your freezer until Christmas dinner, then serve your family a nutritious, fruity side dish.

I love cranberries.  In my oatmeal, in my cereal, in my smoothies!

I used grapefruit instead of oranges!  Gave it a nice zing!

I did change a few ingredients, here is the recipe I used:

10 whole star anise
2 (12 ounce each) bags cranberries, fresh
1/2 cup organic honey
2/3 cup water
2 tsp orange zest
2/3 cup fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
