Setting New Year's Resolutions and Sticking to Them! (If I can, YOU can)

Trust me.  Two easy words to say, two hard words to do!  Trust someone.  Trust me, buy this product and you will lose 50 pounds in 6 months without diet and exercise…Trust me, just drink this juice and the pounds will drop off…Trust me, take this nutrition supplement and you will see amazing results.  We have all heard the pitch, we have all fallen for a few of them, even me, and we have all failed, EVEN ME!

I am here to help, really TRUST ME!  I am going to make this simple!  FIVE easy New Year's Resolutions, that you can stick with and see results.  I am not promising you that you will lose 100 pounds.  I am not guaranteeing that you will go down 3 dress sizes.  I am only stating a few facts; you will feel better, you will see results and YOU will be proud of yourself.

First off, goal setting and New Year's Resolutions go hand and hand.  When you say "I am going to lose 20 pounds this year."  You are setting a goal.  "I am going to be healthier."  again another goal.  If you write something down (goal/resolution) and then run with it (do it) you are more apt to actually fulfill that goal.  Let's get started!

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS THAT YOU CAN DO!

#5.  SET SPECIFIC GOALS
I am going to drink 5 glasses of water a day.  I am going to do Meatless Monday's.  I am going to walk 5 miles a week.  I am going to lose 20 pounds by July.  I am going to run a 5K this fall.  BE very specific.  The more detailed you are, the more you connect with that goal.

#4.  COMMIT TO MOVE
Whether it is marching in place while you are watching your favorite TV show, taking the stairs, parking far away in the grocery store parking lot, what ever it is, MOVE.  EVERY DAY!

#3  EAT MORE FRUIT AND VEGETABLES (my favorite goal)
Add a banana to breakfast, an orange for lunch and an avocado for supper.  Even if it is a slow start, one little apple a day, it is a start!  

#2  GET SLEEP
No more staying up until midnight, checking Facebook, Instagram and reading my blogs.  Get some shut eye.  Your whole body and your mind benefits from a good nights sleep. 

#1  TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
YOU are important!  Take up a new hobby, learn to paint, sew, clog dance!  I don't care what you do, do something for you. 


See, I told you these would be easy!  Five little steps, and I mean little, to make 2015 YOUR year!  
Honestly, when I say you can do it, I mean that you can.  I have been that obese, tired, crabby, miserable woman, I had no idea who I was or what kind of potential I had bottled up inside of me. I started out with simple goals, like the ones above, and I have been successful!  That is my goal this year, to help people reach their full potential!  


Yep, this WAS me at 253 pounds…good golly!  

And this is me now!  Fit, active and loving life!
